Hi, I’m Ian and I live in Surrey in the UK.

So, galaxy season has started and I’m already chasing some of the best-known targets.

In this video I show how I process M33 – the Triangulum galaxy in Pixinsight. Whilst this is a large galaxy it has certain complexities in processing to bring out the colours and some of the Nebula that are in the galaxy. One of the elements I used was a mask technique to enable work on the galaxy whilst protecting the stars and the background that I found on SoReal’s Entropia Universe channel.

I may return to do further alternatives of this target if I get more data in the coming weeks.

The final Image is fifty four 300 second images at gain of 120 and camera temperature at -10. One master dark and 60 Flats and 60 Dark Flats.
