UK Prepared - Is it a good idea to promote preparedness in the UK?

A mini rant and of course my opinion on the roll out of the UK Prepared website.  The comments from various News outlets resulted in this video.

Preppers and especially UK Preppers.  What are your thoughts?  

Personally I think promoting preparedness is a worthwhile thing despite the negatives and those that have their head in the sand.
