Sabze Meydan Garden is one of the tourist and recreational attractions of Gilan province and has attracted many fans. Sabze Maidan is known as one of the oldest squares in Gilan province and has a very large area. The area of this beautiful garden is about 17,500 square meters. At the time when Muzaffar al-Din Shah Qajar was the king of Iran, Muhammad Wali Khan Tankabani was known as the ruler of Rasht. He decided to change the face of Rasht city with fundamental changes.
Therefore, he thought of building this garden. The design, landscaping and arboriculture of Sabzeh Maidan Garden was excellent and unique in its time, and it still retains its beauty.
Sabze Maidan in Rasht city is considered as one of the memorable entertainment places in Gilan province. The passage of time has not made the popularity of this garden disappear among the people. It is interesting to know that Sabze Maidan Park has a special place among the people of Rasht in general.
