روستای پنو در استان سرسبز گلستان قرار دارد و در 42کیلومتری شهرستان گالیکش واقع شده است. اگر بخواهیم دقیق‌تر موقعیت جغرافیایی پنو را توصیف کنیم، باید بگوییم از شمال به روستای دشت شاد، از شرق به روستای حسین‌آباد کالپوش، از جنوب به روستای براین و از غرب به روستای فارسیان راه دارد.
برای رسیدن به این روستا باید اول خود را به یکی از سه استان گلستان یا سمنان یا خراسان شمالی برسانید. اگر از سمت گلستان می‌خواهید به روستای پنو بروید، باید اول به گالیکش بروید، اگر هم از سمنان مسیرتان نزدیک‌تر است خود را به حسین آباد برسانید. اگر هم از خراسان شمالی می‌روید، ابتدا خود را به شهرستان گرمه برسانید و پس از آن مسیر روستای حسین آباد و دشت را در پیش بگیرید.
