At the end of each Origins program the Roots School staff and Origins students heads out onto the landscape. We bring no metal, no paper, no plastic, no glass. We live for week with all stone, bone, antler, and wooden tools, which we have made throughout the program. We hunt and gather, we collect our water from a hand dug spring, we sleep in primitive shelters we have built. It is an amazing end to a great program. Here are a few select moments from the trip, when I had the time to shoot and did not feel too offensive about running the camera. Enjoy!
