Yazda builds a new school in Bakira, Sinjar mountain - مدرسة يزدا في قرية بكرا، شنكال
In May 2017, YAZDA opened a new school in the town of Bakira (Al-Bakra) in the North of Sinjar mountain, in Northern Iraq.

In partnership with one of our international donors, Yazda completed the construction of a primary school in May 2017. The building includes 6 classrooms and it will serve more than 120 children from the surrounding areas.
Once finished the school was handed to the Governmental education authorities to be staffed by professional teachers. Yazda is also planning to establish a small library with books in Kurmaji, Arabic and English.
