CTF Career Wall and Floor Tiler
Construction Training Fund (CTF) is providing opportunities for a lot of people to make their career in the building and construction industry, including wall and floor tilers like Louis Deacon. There are a lot of great opportunities at the moment for wall and floor tilers within construction jobs. A typical working day may involve a variety of different tasks.
On the job you will often be:
- reading and interpreting building plans
- measuring and marking out the surfaces to be tiled
- preparing the wall and floor surfaces for tiling by filling any holes and cracks
- levelling and smoothing for surfaces or cutting of individual tiles to give them shape
- determining the best layout to achieve the desired pattern in a given space
