Transcendentalism

This lecture highlights some basic information about the American Transcendentalism movement. It is in no way a complete look at the movement, but it provides a basic background and understanding of the literary focus of the time period.

NOTE: As the comment below points out, Beethoven did not play IN PERSON at Brooke Farm (as far as we know), but the Transcendentalists were somewhat credited with his early  popularity in the United States, as they played his music at Brooke Farm.
