How to Download Youtube Subtitle on an Android Phone

I’m feeling lazy today.
I uploaded a new vlog… Free Oximeter from Temasek Holdings S...
Now I want to write the description based on the transcript of what I have spoken.
I know I can download the auto-generated caption.
BUT… I have to walk over to my desk and open my laptop.
Can I download the captions on my Samsung Galaxy S10?

Yes! I found a way…

1. Install ccTube… https://play.google.com/store/apps/de...

2. Go to the video using YouTube app.

3. Tap on the share button.

4. Share the video to ccTube.

5. On ccTube app, tap on the download button to save the subtitles to the ccTube folder.

6. Go to Google Files app to access internal storage and look for the ccTube folder.

7. Open the text file.

That’s it! Now I just have to copy and paste the text into my blog post and make changes any way I like.
