173rd Airborne Brigade deployed in Afghanistan; Operation Enduring Freedom

In 2005, the 173rd deployed to Afghanistan along the contentious Pakistan border in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) VI. Five Sky Soldiers were awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in battle. Here's the 173rd at an unknown time in Afghanistan.
