Our lyric video pales in comparison to the performance and creativity that Ren displays in his original video. I shifted back and forth over the past several days on whether I would make a lyric video from Ren's song, as I felt that nothing I could do would hold value compared to the original.

Ultimately, I opted to make the video for two reasons:

First, the creativity and talent that Ren shows in the video are unbelievable. I'm sure he is about to blow up and he deserves every bit of recognition that is coming his way. If I can help pull attention to him more quickly, the more the better. Not only are his lyrics powerful and well written, but he also pulls the viewer through the emotions of the song by drifting through different playstyles on the guitar ... all while putting on an incredible performance visually.

Secondly, and even more importantly, the song touches on an issue that affects every single one of us. Mental health and internal struggles affect us all, regardless of nationality, gender, age, social status, religion, race, or wealth. The dialogue at the end of the song is so powerful and really hit home to me.
