Arnold Amet: Disadvantage of Coal and Deep Sea Mining Outweighs Benefits
The disadvantage of deep sea mining and coal mining in PNG outweighs the benefits they will have on the people’s lives.
This was the message from the Former Chief Justice, Sir Arnold Amet, during the launching of the ‘No Coal in PNG’ Campaign on Monday ( 19 November, 2018).
He said due to personal political interests, some politicians focus on short term economic benefits rather than long term benefits.
