Romanov Jewelry from the movie Anastasia: The movie version 🎥 vs. what inspired it 👑 The movie Anastasia was not based on the real story of the Romanovs, but on the story of the Anastasia imposter Anna Anderson. But the jewelry was based on real life treasures from imperial Russia, such as tiaras worn by Tsarina Marie Feodorovna, Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna, Grand Duchess Vladimir & of course Grand Duchess Anastasia, and even members of the British royal family (Queen Elizabeth II). The movie doesn’t mention the renowned jeweler Fabergé, but the music box bears a striking resemblance to the Alexander Palace Fabergé egg made in 1908
