Planting Grass seed in the fall is always best, soil temps are warm so the grass seed will germinate.
1. Plant grass seed between the third week in August and the end of September.
2. Seed soil contact, you need good seed soil contact so rake the seed in.
3. Don’t forget to water, there’s usually more precipitation in late summer and fall but on those dry days don’t forget to water.
4. Use high-quality seed and fertilizer, I recommend Jonathan Green products. You can find Jonathan Green products at your local hardware store or garden center.
