Memorial of Saints Adalbert and George, martyrs

Today we remember two saints. First, we remember Saint Adalbert bishop and martyr, known for his efforts to spread Christianity during the 10th century. He is the patron saint of the Czech Republic and Poland. We also remember Saint George, martyr. He was a Roman military officer who was martyred for his faith by Emperor Diocletian around 304 AD.
