Lexus GX 2024 review: New Toyota Prado / LandCruiser 250 Series' luxury 4WD cousin tested with V6!

The 2024 Lexus GX is highly anticipated in Australia, where the luxury 4WD series has been unavailable – until now. The third-generation model is coming in hot, with it based on the fifth-generation Toyota Prado, which is also known as the LandCruiser 250 Series in some other markets.

Needless to say, expectations are high for the new GX, with it set to usher in a new era for Lexus Australia, which has previously lacked a proper off-roader in the Large SUV segment. Locally, a 3.5-litre twin-turbo petrol V6 engine will exclusively found under the bonnet alongside a part-time four-wheel-drive system.
