Martyrdom of Imam Ali (a.s)
بِسْمِ اللّهِ وَبِاْاللّهِ وَ عَلَی مِلَّةِ رَسُولِ اللّهِ فُزتُ و رَبِّ الْکَعْبَة؛
On the morning of the 19th of Ramadan of the year 40 A.H
Imam Ali (a) was struck with a Poisonous sword by Abd al-Rahman b. Muljam al-Muradi in the morning prayer in Kufa Mosque
Eve of Ramadan 19 is a possible night of Qadr in which the noble Qur'an was descended to the Prophet (s)
In the 13th month of Ramadan in the year 40 AH, Hazrat Molla Al-Muwahhidin Ali Ibn Abi Talib, the Commander of the Faithful, announced her martyrdom after finishing the battle of Nahrawan

On that day, after uttering words in the truths of Islam, at the end of his noble speech, the Imam said to his son Imam Hassan al-Mojtaba (as): How many days have passed since the holy month of Ramadan? Imam al-Mujtaba (as) said: 13 days have passed. Imam Hussein (as) was asked: How many days are left? Imam Hussein (as) said: There are 17 days left. At this time, Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him)touched his beard and said: This hair of mine (beard hair) is about to be stained with the blood of my head
قریبا یخضب شعری هذا بدم رأسی
On the night of the 16th of Ramadan in the year 40 AH, Amir al-Mu'minin Imam Ali (as) saw the Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) in a dream, and the Prophet announced that their meeting in Paradise was approaching with imam Ali (a.s)
And imam Ali (a.s) informed his daughter Umm Kulthum (a.s)

On the night of the19th of Ramadan, the Commander of the Faithful (PBUH) broke his fast ( Iftar Arabic: إفطار) in the house of his daughter Umm Kulthum (a.s)

In the year 40 AH, a group of Kharijites gathered in Mecca and wept over the slain of Nahrawan. Three of them allied to kill imam Ali (a.s), Amr ibn al-As (L.A), and Muawiyah ibn Abi Sufyan (L.A) in one night.
(Khawārij (Arabic: الخوارج, singular: Khariji) or Kharijites were a group of Muslims who rioted against Imam Ali (a) in the middle of, and after, the Battle of Siffin, as well as in the event of Arbitration. They then began the Battle of Nahrawan against the Imam (a))
Ibn Muljam undertook to kill Amir al-Mu'minin, peace be upon him and entered Kufa, and with the help of Qattam bint al-Akhdar, whom Ibn Muljam intended to marry, and with the complicity of Shabib ibn Bajra and Wardan ibn Majala, carried out his decision.
Qaṭām bt. Shajna b. 'Adī (Arabic: قطام بنت شجنة بن عدی) was a woman from Kufa who played a role in motivating Ibn Muljam to martyr Imam 'Ali (a). Since her brother and father were killed in the Battle of Nahrawan, she conditioned her marriage with Ibn Muljam upon the murder of 'Ali (a).
On the morning of the19th after the morning adhan (Arabic: أَذَان), Amir al-Mu'minin entered the mosque and his sweet voice was raised to "O people, Al-Salat ." «یا ایها الناس، الصلاه»
Then imam (a.s) started praying. When Shabib raised his head from sajdah in the first rak'ah, he attacked the Imam, But his sword did not hit the Imam (a.s)
when imam Ali (a.s) touched the ground with his forehead for sajda, Abdur Rahman bin Muljam stepped out of his row, and crept into the alcove. And just when Ali lifted his head from the ground, ibn Muljam struck the fatal blow at his forehead with such deadly force that it split open.
Blood squirted from Ali's forehead in several jets, and he exclaimed:
"By the Lord of the Kaaba, I am successful!"
("Fiztu wa rabbil Ka'ba"!)
بسم الله و باللَّه و علی مله رسول اللَّه، فزت و رب الکعبه
Gabriel's voice rose
تهدمت و اللَّه ارکان الهدی و انطمست اعلام التقی و انفصمت العروه الوثقی، قتل ابن عم المصطفی، قتل الوصی المجتبی، قتل علی المرتضی، قتله اشقی الاشقیاء.
I swear by God that the pillars of guidance were shattered and the stars of the knowledge of prophecy were darkened and the signs of piety were removed and the divine trust was broken.
Because the cousin of the Messenger of God (PBUH) was martyred, Sayyid al-Awsiya and Ali Morteza were martyred. He was martyred by the worst evil of all, (namely Ibn Muljam al-Muradi)
