Altruistic kidney donor kicks off 5-way transplant chain | Ohio State Medical Center

Last month, #OSUWexMed transplant surgeons performed a 5-way kidney transplant chain. The donors were friends, family members, cousins - and Kim, an altruistic donor with no relationship to any of the recipients, who kicked off the chain.

"I'm really lucky that I'm healthy and have a good support system, and I really wanted to give a gift that could impact a life."
