Well Iran and the US have had a tumultuous relationship over the years - culminating in the now infamous assertion of former President George W Bush that Iran was part of an 'axis of evil'. But all are aware of the role that Iran could play in restoring peace to this troubled region. Al Jazeera's Mike Hanna reports.
