#G4G Health Ambassador Campaign

During the Covid19 South African lockdown, Go for Gold saw the lockdown and disruptions to the academic school year as an opportunity to teach their students resilience and to apply problem-solving strategies. Go for Gold was supportive of their students during the lockdown in that they first ascertained what their students’ situations were at home, offered support where necessary but also emphasized that the lockdown was not an excuse to stop learning. The first week of lockdown fell into the March school holidays and Go for Gold implemented delivering their Phase 1 holiday programme via WhatsApp. The holiday programme comprised of a weeklong ‘Covid19 Health and Safety #G4GHealthAmbassaor’ Campaign on Facebook, which the students responded well to.
