How to create an old world look using the ragging technique with chalk paint

In this video I made over a stunning crested armoire. I wanted to give it an old world look and decided to use the ragging technique for this.
Since the armoire was in pretty bad condition, it needed a lot of repair work. I removed all the damaged veneer, using a heat gun.
I applied gold leaf on all the trimwork and also applied some gold lief with the use of a stencil.
