A few months ago Essam and Youssef Kromah flew to Istanbul to record Fajr, a upbeat track for his upcoming album. From the moment we started writing the song we knew that it was inspired by something bigger than us and had potential to impact the Ummah. We wrote the hook in the airport and the very first lines were: “Fajr. Everything I do is for the ajr (God’s reward). Pray I win this battle like Badr. What’s the point of getting bread, if you don’t spread it like butter?” Dope right?

We then flew to Cairo, Egypt to record the video and we knew immediately it was a masterpiece. We are really excited to release the video today and hope that the message is heard, received and reverberated all over the globe. The track is made entirely with vocals and without musical instruments, for those who are concerned with that sort of thing. Going to put the link in my bio when it drops. Remember to dhikr, drink water, get money and mind your business.

Trynna figure out which way to go
Growing up nobody paved a road
Before we grew we thought we was grown
Gotta eat so we could feed more souls

My purposed is driven by faith
& I never be hitting the brakes
Got my foot on the metal im gassing
I put my life on the line that's my passion
Pour out my pain in this pen when im rapping
Stacking these bangers they thought I was lacking
Putting in work until it feel like a habit
It's deeper than rhyming & fashion
Never be panicking under no pressure we come from the dirt but we diamonds though
Don't be throwing no shade cuz we still gon be shining so why would you even wanna try me for
Son of batuta indigenous African traveling seeing these places I never been
Ever since I seen a mother cry rivers I promised that imma be better than
Who I was yesterday
Cuz tomorrow is not promised im gifted
With the present but sometimes I be distant
Lost some my brothers to violence so I can't be silent why you think I been on this mission
Need no attention If it's a means to disturb my intentions
I don't need a pistol my faith is my weapon
Cuz I got Allah there's no better protection2x

I was raised in the projects
Just a lil black boy from the hopeless
In the trap with fiends & the dope heads
Get a Billy buss it down like a Rolex
I was trynna work it out like a boflex
I was stuck up in the mud like a lotus
Used to pray every night that im on next
On the deen fell in love with the process
& my thought is
Yeah
I aint the one to discard
I am the light in the dark
I put that on God
I am mosaic with bars
I build a pryrmid farm
In tune with the stars
With a dream what It mean tell me this though
As a blood still down to buy crypto
Let em know told my bros from the get go
Trust God keep one on my hip though
Boom
Do it for my abb and my umm
I could split the sea no staff in the room
Put that on Roon
Do it for the kaff & the noon
Kun faya kun

We were taught in an authentic narraration
that the 2 rakats before Fajr are more precious than
the Dunya and everything it contains.
So if that is just the 2 rakats before Fajr
then what about the Fajr prayer itself.
How much is that worth?
How valuable is that to you?
