I return to the Jordan Valley Pathway with my buddy, Skidmark, to enjoy a beautiful May weekend of backpacking. We arrived at Deadman’s Hill around lunchtime, and hiked about 8.5 miles to the Pinney Bridge Campground.  We enjoyed the quiet afternoon and warm weather. However, the bugs were pretty aggressive, including plenty of ticks! We both chowed down on Mountain House and some snacks and enjoyed a nice fire that helped keep the bugs at bay. The next morning, we got up early to avoid the heat and the bugs and hiked just over 10 miles back to the trailhead. We enjoyed the overlooks iinto the valley as well as crossing the Jordan River and many smaller streams and creeks. This is one of the most beautiful hikes in the lower peninsula of Michigan and I highly recommend it! If you’ve been, comment on your experience! Thanks for watching! And don’t forget to subscribe!
