September 10, 1906 - "Kagaya" founded.
May 1976 - "Sun Kagaya" begins operations.
January 1980 - Awarded first place overall in Japan's top 100 hotels and inns selected by professionals (received the award for 36 consecutive years).
September 1989 - Main building "Setsugekka" opens.
November 1997 - Due to the renovation of "Sun Kagaya", the name was changed to "Saryo no Yado Aenokaze".
February 6, 1998 - Acquired ISO 9001.
September 10, 2006 - 100th anniversary celebration.
November 2008 - Opened "Ryokan Kanazawa Chaya Kappo Tsuzumi" in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture.
April 2010 - Group inn "Niji to Umi" opens in Wakura Onsen.
December 18, 2010 - "Nissho Kagaya" opens in Beitou Hot Springs, Taiwan.
October 1, 2015 - Group inn "Kagaya Bettei Matsunomidori" opens in Wakura Onsen.
March 2017 - "Ryori Inn Kanazawa Chaya Annex" opens in Kanazawa.
November 2018 - Proprietor Mayumi Oda is selected as a "food and beverage server" by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare's Modern Master Craftsman
May 2022 - Kagaya Group takes over Tsuruya in Awara Onsen, Fukui Prefecture
Kagaya is managed by Kagaya Co., Ltd., which operates four facilities in Wakura Onsen and eight restaurants nationwide.
