Chuck Norris Didn't Serve in the Air Force, The Air Force Served Under Him.

Before he roundhouse-kicked his way into Hollywood, Chuck Norris served in the military!  Carlos Ray "Chuck" Norris enlisted in the Air Force in 1958, and while at Osan Air Base in South Korea, he discovered his passion for martial arts, which eventually led him to become a world-renowned martial artist and action film star.
While recovering from a shoulder injury, he went on a walk and observed locals performing spinning heel kicks, which mesmerized him.  His Judo instructor told him that they were practicing the Korean martial art of Tang Soo Do.
Norris served for four years in the Air Force before receiving an honorable discharge in 1962.  By that time he was a brown belt in Judo and a black belt in Tang Soo Do.
After leaving the military, he pursued a career in acting, where he achieved fame for his roles in action films and television shows. Despite his successful entertainment career, Norris has often spoken fondly of his time in the Air Force and credits his military experience with shaping his character and discipline.
