Rice Custard (Fereni) is a Persian Classic! Its so simple yet so deeply delicious.
Start off with 4 cups of whole milk, 7 Tbsp rice flour, 4 Tbsp sugar, and 4 cloves cardamom. Simmer in a pot over high heat, but don't let it boil. Constantly stir and as soon as it thickens, lower the heat to medium and remove your cardamom seeds. Once removed, add 4 Tbsp rose water and continue stirring. Turn off the heat and you're done! A beautiful dessert with incredible flavor!
