Ahoopa (Muqarnas - Mogharns- mukarnas - مقرنص) Model (maquette)
In the video, you can see a structure called Ahoopa (آهوپا). Every element of the structure has a specific name, which is derived from the Persian word Ahoopa (which means gazelle muzzle).
The Arabic language also uses Ahoopa in the following forms: Muqarnas - Mogharns - mukarnas - مقرنص
The video was recorded before the workshop at Istanbul Technical University.
Students at Istanbul Technical University were taught how to draw muqarnas and Islamic-era motifs in the workshop I conducted, so they could better understand its structure and geometry.
