Homayoun Shajarian - Sarnevesht سرنوشت - همایون شجریان - انوشیروان روحانی (English Translation)
“Sarnevesht” (Fate/Destiny) is a song by the Iranian traditional singer, Homayoun Shajarian. The music is composed by Anoushirvan Rohani and the lyrics are by Mohammad-Ali Shirazi and Fara. The song was published in 2019. Shajarian writes in a note on the occasion of the publication of “Sarnevesht” that according to Anoushirvan Rouhani, “the creation of this song dates back to about 10 to 15 years ago”. In the last days of his mother's life, this prominent Iranian composer went to the doctor's office and there he saw a calligraphy that said, "Fate must be rewritten". It became an inspirational line for him. He asked his poet friends to expand it and he himself composed a song for their poem. "Sarnevesht" questions the belief in unchangeable fate and encourages the will to change and to determine the path of one's life.

"سرنوشت" تصنیفی است با صدای همایون شجریان، خواننده موسیقی سنتی. آهنگ این تصنیف را انوشیروان روحانی ساخته و شعر آن را محمدعلی شیرازی و فرا سروده‌اند. این تصنیف در سال ۱۳۹۹ منتشر شد. همایون شجریان در یادداشتی به مناسبت انتشار "سرنوشت" از قول انوشیروان روحانی می‌نویسد که شکل گرفتن این تصنیف به حدود ۱۰ تا ۱۵ سال پیش برمی‌گردد. این آهنگساز برجسته ایرانی در روزهای پایانی زندگی مادرش به مطب پزشک مراجعه می‌کند و در آنجا تابلویی را می‌بیند که بر روی آن نوشته شده بوده، "سرنوشت را باید از سر نوشت". این یک خط الهام‌بخش انوشیروان روحانی می‌شود. او از دوستان شاعرش می‌خواهد تا آن را بسط دهند و خود او نیز آهنگی برای شعر آنان می‌سازد. "سرنوشت" باور به تقدیر تغییرناپذیر را به زیر سؤال می‌برد و مشوق اراده برای دگرگونی و تعیین راه زندگی خود است.
