UKAEA is the UK’s national
UKAEA is the UK’s national fusion laboratory. Our mission is to lead the commercial development of fusion power and related technology, and to position the UK as a leader in sustainable nuclear energy.
To achieve this, we cover a range of research from fusion physics to remote maintenance and robotics, and from materials science to nuclear engineering. We are also training the next generation of scientists and engineers through apprenticeships, a graduate scheme, and continued professional development.
