Saleeg Recipe | Saudi Rice Dish | Arabic food

INGREDIENTS

2 whole chicken cut into halves
2 pcs bay leaves
2 medium size onion
2 cloves of garlic
black peppercorns
3 cups Egyptian rice
salt ( according to your taste )
1 1/2 litres of water ( you can add if needed )
1 1/2 cup of liquid milk ( you can use powdered milk )

For the chicken mixture

3 tablespoons lemon
3 tablespoons olive oil / cooking oil
1 teaspoon salt ( adjust according to your taste )
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon mixspice
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
2 tablespoons tomato paste

ghee / butter
