On September 5th, 2007, ten Israeli F-15I Ra'am fighter jets with laser-guided bombs took off from Ramat David Airbase to conduct the operation "outside the box." They were escorted by F-16I Sufa fighter jets. The Syrian reactor was constructed by North Korea and was intended to generate plutonium for use in nuclear weapons. Three of the F-15s were instructed to return to base for various reasons, while the remaining seven F-15 Eagles and F-16 Falcons continued their covert flight over the Mediterranean Sea in the direction of Syria. They encountered no resistance when entering Syrian airspace thanks to advanced electronic jammer equipment that rendered Syria's air defenses useless. Despite being covered up as an agricultural farm, the Israeli aircraft had no issue dropping bombs on their target, and they could see the strike in action. This facility changed into this in under three minutes. The pilots reported "Arizona," a code word that indicated that the operation had been successful when they returned from their mission. Israel didn't disclose the attack until 2018, even though Operation "Outside the Box" was successful.
