HAUSER plays ”The King of Hearts” Supporting The Iranian Freedom Movement, 2022 هاوزر - سلطان قلبها
Stjepan Hauser, known professionally as HAUSER, is an internationally popular Croatian cellist. He has played an instrumental portion of music of the famous and popular Persian song “Soltane Qalbha” (The King of Hearts). The music of this song is by Anoushirvan Rohani. It was originally played in 1968 in a movie with the same name and sung by two Iranian Singers, Aref and Ahdiyeh. It was later known as a famous song by Aref.
HAUSER has presented this piece on his Instagram account and written in Persian, “Peace and Love”. He played this piece after a video had been published that showed Nika Shakarami, a 16-year-old Iranian teenager singing this song. Nika disappeared in Tehran after attending a demonstration on September 20th, 2022. Her family was informed of her death ten days later. She had died under suspicious circumstances suspected to involve violence by security forces. Her family had to identify her mutilated body.
