VR Video Editing with the Oculus Quest 2 + Premiere Pro
Welcome back! Today I get a workflow going with the Oculus Quest 2 and Premiere Pro. I decided to cut down the full 2 hours of recording in this 8 minute video to show you what it is like editing in the Oculus Quest 2.
After a certain point you start getting into the flow of it but it sure does take a bit. This video was in conjunction with the Virtual Desktop Available in the Oculus Store. The full video is also available to watch in the channel. In this video I use mostly Premiere Pro and After Effects to finish editing this video.
The Oculus Quest 2 by Facebook and Oculus is a Virtual Reality Headset with it's main focus for gaming however there are plenty of other things you can do with this headset. You can browse the web, watch YouTube video and even edit videos.
I wanted to attempt to edit a video in Premiere Pro to see if it would be handy in the future. Although I did recieve quite a bit of latency and getting use to controls, I have high hopes. I am still faster with a normal computer but having the image right in front of you almost in 360 is remarkable. It would be great to the Virtual Reality Editing have separate monitors to separate color channels, audio channels and more. I think this would be a tad overwhelming at first but would become an advanced way to edit.
I would also like to be able toe dit photos in the future using this method. If you would like to see more , make sure to comment and I will get out another video sooner then later!
