Gulistan-E-Sadi By Sheikh Sadi (First Year)

Sheikh Sadi Shirazi was born in Shiraz Iran in 1210. He is widely recognized as one of the greatest poets and story tellers of the classical literary tradition. He has been quoted in the western tradition as well. Many English writers used to copy his parables, then finally his works were translated in English and he became the love of the people. His poetry and parables are beyond the limitation of time and region. His universality makes him such a great writer. Even today people love to study his verses and parables, his parables are food for thought and enhance the practical wisdom and knowledge.
