HUNGRY MALLARDS AHEAD OF HUGE FRONT!! (Kansas Corn Field Duck Hunt)

After wrapping up a stellar first day at Carter's Big Island Hunt Club, the boys went to game planning for our second day. Drake mentioned they had a monster dry mallard feed that could make for an epic field duck shoot. We were stoked knowing there was a good chance these mallards would be in a frenzy to gorge themselves ahead of this incoming blast of frigid, arctic air! We set up the HyVert blinds and 30 dozen V2 Canadas, hoping they would follow the program. Our hopes were turned into reality shortly after shooting hours as we were bombarded with big wads of mallards, rarely having more than a few minutes with a break in the action! After the dust settled and we got these beautiful birds lined up for a shot, Roy Carter came out for some post-hunt conversation and fellowship. We can’t thank these guys enough for having us out; we look forward to coming back and doing it again next year!
