Fatemeh (Pouran) Shariat-Razavi پوران شريعت رضوي, succumbed to illness on Friday. She suffered a stroke on Monday, 11 February.
Shariat-Razavi was an Iranian author and held a PhD degree from the Sorbonne in Persian Literature.
She was the wife of the late Ali Shariati علي شريعتي, renowned Iranian intellectual, sociologist, and religious-political activist of the 1960s and 70s.
She was also the sister of Mehdi Shariat-Razavi مهدي شريعت رضوي, one of three students who were shot to death by forces of the Pahlavi Shah محمد رضا شاه پهلوي on December 7, 1953.
