Designing a character with the pencil tool in Adobe Illustrator

In this video I show you my process for designing a character in Adobe Illustrator using the pencil tool, pen tool, and shapes tool. I find this method effective when making adjustments to your design on the fly as opposed to creating an outline and coloring in the shapes.
