Set to the tune of the spiritual, "Rockin' Jerusalem," Janie Culbreth Rambeau wrote the lyrics to "Oh Pritchett, Oh Kelley" during the Civil Rights Movement. According to the SNCC Digital Gateway, Bertha Gober sang this song to the police chief (Laurie Pritchett) and the mayor (Asa Kelley) of Albany, Georgia after Gober was jailed following a civil rights demonstration.
