Here is the replay of a Facebook LIVE flamenco guitar workshop I held the other day. In this workshop, I show you the secret to getting that authentic flamenco sound from your guitar.

...And the secret lies in....

🥁Drumroll please...

👍🏼...el pulgar (the thumb)!

In this video, you will learn exactly what you need to get that sweet, rich, powerful, and crisp tone from your flamenco guitar strings. You will need some supplies--albeit minimal they are in number and cost.

First, you'll need 1) an emery board (nail file); 2) A grown-out thumbnail; 3) high-grit 1"x2" piece of sandpaper (1"x2"); and, 4) a small container of petroleum jelly.

So, watch all the way through to get the most out of the workshop and leave a comment below telling me the name of the rapid (up-and-down) thumb technique used on the flamenco guitar. The first person to get it right gets a high 👋🏼 from me!
