Date Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

1 pound dates, pitted and chopped
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
3 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
