Velenjak reaches Tochal Heights in the north, Parkway Highway from the south, Velenjak River from the east and Darka neighborhood from the west. This neighborhood is located in District 2 of District 1 of Tehran Municipality and its population according to the latest census was equal to 22742 people.

Important places in this neighborhood include the roof of Tehran, the Tochal cable car and Shahid Beheshti University, and the summit hall.
