Blackbushe 100 miles endurance race - Pedal Car
While Charles Leclerc raced to win the Italian F1 Grand Prix in Monza, some 1300 kilometres away, the British Pedal Car Championship (BPCC) round five (5) was quietly taking place in a rather more modest environment.
The British Pedal Car Championship this year is a six-round race series spread across England from to late March to early October.
This meeting was the annual 100-mile endurance race on a go-kart track, which measured 525 metres.
A Pedal Car is an HPV (Human Powered Vehicle) with up to four wheels - most HPV have only two or three. Cars are generally designed and built by some or all of those in the racing teams.
On pole position was the team called Wing Racers. They dominated the race with no real problems but it was Royce that was their nearest challenger. Wing finished in 5 hours, 3 minutes adding 25 points to their championship tally which has sealed the British Championships series title for this season.
