The Reality of ALS: "Good Night"
Jason Walker was diagnosed with ALS 14 years ago. He started dating his wife three years after his diagnosis, and they have been married for 4 years. Their daughter, Eloise, was born 17 months ago. He has used a tracheotomy and feeding tube since just after his wedding.
Of his daughter, nicknamed Ellis, Jason says: "Ellis is a precious baby girl. Brought into this world among our hectic and often chaotic life, she has become tolerant and understanding that there are times her needs become secondary. For being so young, she’s incredibly compassionate, patient, and observant, as well as absolutely adorable. She’s my everything and, as if I didn’t have enough reason to fight this stupid disease, she’s more reason than any."
He adds: "I LOVE MY GIRLS!"
