Jay Famiglietti, PhD - Executive Director at the Global Institute for Water Security

Dr. Jay Famiglietti is a hydrologist, a professor and the Executive Director of the Global Institute for Water Security at the University of Saskatchewan, where he holds the Canada 150 Research Chair in Hydrology and Remote Sensing, Before moving to Saskatchewan, he served as the Senior Water Scientist at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory at the California Institute of Technology. From 2013 through 2018, he was appointed by Governor Jerry Brown to the California State Water Boards.

Debra Perrone, PhD - Assistant Professor at University of California Santa Barbara

Dr. Debra Perrone is an Assistant Professor of UCSB’s Environmental Studies Program. Deb integrates research methods from engineering, physical science, policy science, and law to inform water sustainability and public policy; she uses a wide-spectrum of outlets to disseminate her research, including peer-reviewed journals, policy briefs, and interactive- online dashboards. In 2019, Debra co-authored an undergraduate textbook, Water Resources: Science and Society, which provides a foundation in water science and policy and highlights the challenges and opportunities surrounding our global water resources.

Neno Kukurić, PhD- Director of the International Groundwater Resources Assessment Centre (IGRAC)

Dr. Neno Kukurić is a hydrogeologist with about 30 years of experience gained worldwide working as a field hydrogeologist, consultant, scientific researcher and project manager. His professional interest is international water cooperation and the application of informed management, encompassing technical, socio-economical, institutional and political aspects of water-related issues. Neno Kukurić is particularly involved in a global assessment and management of transboundary groundwaters. Since 2011, he has served as the director of IGRAC, the International Groundwater Resources Assessment Centre of UNESCO.

Michael Nemeth, M.Sc., P.Ag., EP - Senior Advisor, Agricultural and Environmental Sustainability at Nutrien

Michael is a Senior Advisor, Agricultural and Environmental Sustainability at Nutrien where he currently supports implementation of Nutrien’s Carbon Program and Pilots, and leads the company's global water stewardship efforts. Michael is a Professional Agrologist (P.Ag.) in the practice areas of Environmental Impact Assessment and Mitigation Planning and Water Resources Planning and Management and is registered as an Environmental Professional (EP). He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Inside Education and for Field to Market Canada, and is an Advisory Board Member for the Alliance for Water Stewardship North America. He has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Bow River Basin Council, a member of the Alberta Chamber of Resources Responsible Development Committee, a Planning Member of the Water Policy Group for the Pacific Northwest Economic Region, and the Environment and Natural Resources Committee for the Calgary Chamber of Commerce.
