موسسه تحقیقات خاک و آب
موسسه تحقيقات خاک و آب فعاليت خود را با مطالعات خاکشناسي به منظور تعيين قابليت اراضي براي آبياري در طرح هاي توسعه منابع آب و زراعت هاي آبي از سال 1331 با تشکيل بنگاه مستقل آبياري، وابسته به وزارت کشاورزي آغاز و در سال 1340 به #موسسه_خاکشناسي تغيير نام داد. به موازات این فعاليت ها، از سال 1336 تحقيق در زمينه #حاصلخيزي_خاک به منظور توسعه و ترويج استفاده از كودهاي شيميايي در كشاورزي شروع و در سال 1339 سازماني به نام اداره كل حاصلخيزي خاك وزارت كشاورزي در سراسر كشور تشکيل و با ادغام اداره كل حاصلخيزي خاك و موسسه #خاكشناسي در سال 1345 موسسه خاکشناسي و حاصلخيزي خاک پا به عرصه وجود گذاشت. طبقه بندي خاك ها و تعيين استعداد اراضي و در واقع تعيين شناسنامه براي خاك هاي كشور توام با بررسی و تحقيق در حاصلخيزي خاك وظیفه اصلی این موسسه بود. برای انجام مطالعات حفاظت خاک و آب و جلوگیری از فرسایش خاک در سال 1347 ساختار مؤسسه با 9 بخش و واحد مختلف مصوب گردید. از سال 1363 به عنوان يکي از موسسات وابسته به #سازما_ تحقيقات، آموزش و ترويج کشاورزي، به نام #موسس_ تحقيقات خاک و آب فعاليت هاي خود را در گستره وسيع تري از مسائل خاک و آب درهفت بخش تحقيقاتي و دو بخش پشتيباني ساماندهي نمود. دو واحد دفتر ثبت و کنترل کیفی مواد کودی و مرکز رشد تخصصی واحدهای فناور خاک و آب در راستای وظایف حاکمیتی موسسه و گسترش واحدهای دانش بنیان به ترتیب در سال های 1393 و 1396 به بخش های موسسه اضافه شد.
هدف
انجام تحقيقات در زمينه مسائل مربوط به خاك و آب به منظور شناسايي و #طبق_ بند_ خاک ها و ارزيابي اراضي كشور و بررسي و تعيين روش هاي علمي و اقتصادي بهره‌وري از منابع خاك و آب در زمينه توليد محصولات كشاورزي و هماهنگ كردن اين فعاليت ها با ساير برنامه‌هاي تحقيقاتي كشور.

A Review of Recent Achievements by SWRI
-Preparing the map of Iran’s soils on 1:1,000,000 scale with eight information layers by geographical information system (GIS), exclusively achieved by SWRI experts with the use of computerized models.
-Preparing the map of Iran’s soil productivity on 1:250,000 scale for irrigated and rain-fed crops, forestry and rangeland purposes.
-Preparing the detailed map of Iran’s soil salinity distribution classified by non-salinity, low-salinity, high-salinity and very high-salinity indices on 1:250,000 scale based on geographical information system (GIS).
-Preparing Iran’s gypsum-soil distribution map on 1:2,500,000 scale with the use of geographical information system (GIS).
-Preparing the color map of the soil thermal-moisture regimes of the country on 1:1,250,000 scales.
-Estimating production potential for different crops.
-Promoting the use of micronutrients and determining their critical levels for various crops, results of which have been published in an informative book containing all the relevant information.
-Helping bring about diversification in the production and consumption of fertilizers, and thus fulfilling the objectives of yield increase and quality improvement of crops.
-Preparing a comprehensive computer model for fertilizer recommendation towards sustainable agriculture.
-production of compost and #vermicomposting from the agricultural residual.
-Increasing the efficiency of fertilizer (FUE) and water(WUE) in agricultural and horticultural crops.
-Conducting numerous research projects to determine suitable ways of optimizing the water and fertilizer use in different crops and communicating the results to farmers.
-Achieving good results in the optimization of water and mineral fertilizer use for the country’s field and horticultural crops.
-Determining the water requirements of the country’s strategic crops and publishing the findings in a two-volume book as a national document.
-Conducting research on the use of completely soluble fertilizers in pressurized irrigation to increase the efficiency of fertigation.
