2016. Chaos erupts in the Minetexas Anarchy server as two mighty groups clash for the control of spawn. On one side, the ASP, A mysterious elite group was utterly dominant over spawn for almost a year. In a time before dupes, this group had acquired a lot of power through buying weapons and armour from ChadDX a notorious war profiteer. On the other side, there was the Empire, a fairly new group which had yet to make its mark. The battle for spawn had commenced. Because of the spawn command this 50 block platform had been the lifeblood of the second oldest anarchy server in the world. It was where all major player interactions took place. The one who would control it, would control the entire server itself.
Mechanics of spawn
Because of the layout of the minetexas spawn, it was more like a king of the hill game. When people typed the spawn command, they would spawn in the middle of a 25 by 25 platform. They would then go underneath the platform which had a built in end portal. Thru which they would go into the end and then go back to their bed. This simple command brought anarchy gameplay to the next level. Trading was made extremely easy and trading guilds arose, the most notorious one run by ChadDx, a former 2b2t player and an expert in manufacturing armour and weapons. It was in Chad’s best interest for spawn to remain in a constant state of war between groups as he would sell armour to all sides. The group that controlled spawn would control the whole economy of the server, which was basically the same thing as controlling the entire community of the second oldest anarchy server in the world.
In the minetexas anarchy server there is also a mechanic called “fraternities” which helped accelerate the polarization of the server. This system was created in early 2016, after the collapse of the government of zineon, which used the be the strongest entity in the server. A fraternity is a group of people under the same badge. The ASP, the first fraternity, was in control of spawn for a long time before new fraternities like the Empire stepped up to fight them. Because of the power disparity, ASP was extremely strong, whereas the Empire only had Manpower on its side. This led to the fall of many Empire bases at its start.
Before the age of fraternities, there was a singular strongest entity on the server, called the government of zineon. The goverment was a facinating entity that had complete control fot he second oldest anarchy server in the world. This government was under the leadership of DonaldTrumpForMc, and was created by him and ChadDx. It had its own soldiers, and different departments such as trade. Initially, it had a lot of control over spawn and maintained order. Gradually their power decreased because of decreased participation. People weren’t joining the government anymore, but rather forming their own groups. Because of this, Chad saw a decline in profits, and he had to do something to get his sales up. He used his important position in the government as minister of Trade to incite a war with a relatively new militia led by a man called matressleco. This caused a great war causing a lot of neutral people to join either side. This bolstered the numbers of the government and Chad’s sales increased exponentially.
But there was a problem. It was time for the election of the president and a new contender had arrived with the name theDoctor278. Even though Chad’s plan had bolstered the ranks of the government, not all of the new people who joined were loyal to DonalTrumpForMc. DonaldTrump saw this and claimed that the election was rigged and resigned along with some of the members. The government then mysteriously collapsed a few weeks later, and it was known that ASP was involved.
The rise of Fraternities brought about the age of many other frats like Spawn Builders Collective and the Trader frats.
The Spawn builders collective participated in community organized building events. They also maintained the nether highways and kept the base of spawn clear of lavacasts.
A simple command had such a profound impact on the server, from the age of the government to the age of fraternities, minetexas is still going strong.
