Dr. Mohammad Reza Nikfar is a writer and researcher in the field of political philosophy. He has authored many articles and his books in Farsi and German include: “Violence, Human Rights and Civil Society”, “Critique of Political Theology”, “At the Dead-End of Time, Introduction to the Philosophy of Heidegger”, “The Concept of Peace” and “Faith & Technique” among others. Dr. Nikfar is currently the editor-in-chief of “Radio Zamaneh”.

Berkeley Lecture Series is a member supported, non-profit, non sectarian entity dedicated to engaging the Iranian-American community in dialogue on a wide range of topics from various point of views.

Monthly lectures are organized to stimulate curiosity and critical thinking on topics of interest to our community.

Berkeley Lecture Series was founded on January 2005, following a long legacy of lectures and discussions organized by Iranians in Berkeley, California such as “Iranian students associations - 1960’s”, “Kanoon-e Barasi Masael-e Iran”, “Kanoon-e Sokhan”, and “Pegah” in 1980’s, “Committee for Defense of Democracy and Freedom of Thought in Iran - 1997”, and “Center for Dialogue - 2000”.
