Ahead Of PM's Rallies In Karnataka, Congress Protest Over Centre's 'Insufficient' Drought Relief

Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar of Karnataka declared on Saturday that the Congress will hold a protest on April 28 over what he called the "paltry" drought relief that the state received from the federal government. Shivakumar, who is also the state president of the Congress, stated that the drought conditions were addressed with Rs 3,454 crore from the Center, although Karnataka was demanding Rs 18,172 crore.
