In this tutorial, you will learn how to Use KineMaster.

Kinemaster is a one stop shop app that offers professional editing tools for your mobile devices.

Kinemaster by default is free, however there is going to be a watermark on your videos if you don’t want to pay for a subscription plan.

Let’s open the Kinemaster app and tap on the new project icon. Choose a resolution for your video and your new project will load up. On the right side, you have the record button and the media button. Let’s import a video by tapping on it and finding the desired video. Play button is positioned right next to the main control circle.

LAYER PANEL

Once that’s in, you can now add additional layers such as text and effects or additional media items.

Tap Layers and tap Text to add text. After inputing your text you have a multitude of options such as changing fonts, color, animation, etc. Basically everything you need to edit your text!

Under layers, you can also add Handwriting, Stickers, Effects and more media.

Everything you add here is added as a separate layer, meaning you can always tap on the corresponding layer and change parameters.

AUDIO PANEL

In addition to the elements that can be added via the layer menu, you can also add a soundtrack or song by selecting the Audio menu.

You can add downloaded songs in .m4a or .mp3 format for example. Tap once on the song you want to include to play a preview of it. Then tap the Plus symbol to enter it on the project sheet. Finally, tap on the checklist to finish selecting songs.

VOICE PANEL

If you want to add narration in the form of your recorded voice, just tap Voice on the menu bar, then tap the Start button. Speak as the recording goes then tap Stop. You can then Review or Rerecord the Voice Over.

OTHER

Kinemaster also gives you an option of preset transitions to use between two media files. Wherever the two medias meet, tap on the plus icon, and select transition style and then the transition. On the left select the transition length.

To split the files, tap on it then tap the scissors icon.  Choose if you want to trim to the left of playhead, split at playhead, or something else.

Once you have everything ready, it’s time to share the video. Tap on the share icon on the top right. Choose the resolution as well as the framerate and the quality of the export. Tap export when ready and the export will begin. Once done, the file will be automatically saved to your Photos app.

KineMaster has a lot of intricate tools that is amazing to have in your pocket mobile device! If you take the time to learn the app, it can really give you the cutting-edge advantage over other people on social media.
