Golf MK7 (5G) $17 dynamic flowing indicators installation and test

Installation and test of cheap dynamic indicators from AliExpress for Volkswagen #GolfMK7 side mirrors. Package includes two replacement parts, a torx screw driver and prying tool. First you need to remove mirror glass (notice wiring for mirror heating and blind spot indicator), then undo two clips that hold the mirror cap. Once that is removed you can remove two screws holding indicator, and two screws keeping the mirror assembly together - this will give us some move room to wiggle the parts out. Disconnect small connector and now removing the OEM #indicator should be easy. You can make it easier with a hep of prying tool. Then install new #dynamic indicator in place, connect it, put everything back together and try it out. Everything is plug&play, there's no coding required, there will be no broken bulb error messages on the instrument cluster.

In my tests the aftermarket flowing blinker is much brighter than the stock OEM VW part.
The only downside that I found is the small square that's visible though the mirror frame. Since it's at the end of the sequential animation, it lights up only for a fraction of second.
This part should fit MK7.5 facelift models as well.

This set of parts and tools was around $17 with S&H, right now it's $19 for the smoked ones, and $15 for clear ones. This is the cheapest that I found for MK7.
